  1. Nordic larp is not actually a type of larp, but a term that identifies the region the games come from, though there are certainly traditions distinct to games that originate there.     The term”American freeform” is still very new, and it evolved as a way of distinguishing the games from the ones that were more commonly seen in the US (parlor larps and boff larps) and from the jeepform and other Nordic traditions that inspired it. It has a few loose principles that Lizzie outlines in the article, though any larpwright can apply the title as they see fit.
