It is an awesome game, but it doesn’t make much sense as a one-shot, since the whole point of the game is to see how the characters gradually sell out their ideals. I don’t think it’s even possible, mechanically-speaking, to finish in one session. It took us five.

Gotcha. Thanks for the heads up. I may end up getting it anyway as it sounds like a game that would fit the group – just need to figure out when we can play it.

Get the physical book if you can. It has a really great “artifact” quality to it.

Just checked my local shop and it’s only £13.99, so it’s a no brainer given the amount Kickstarter games are costing me at the moment. Think I need to lay off KS for a while.

Oh man, tell me about it. I’m excited as hell about the quality and diversity of games coming out of KS, but my pocketbook is taking a beating.

It’s great and can be very satisfying as a one shot, even if it is often a bit open-ended in that form. I would say it’s optimal play is 2-7 sessions. Robert Bohl

MY doesn’t do everything best about it as a one-shot, but I spent 4 years playtesting it, almost entirely one-shots. It winds up as a good taste of the game.
