I know we’ve had good times with Lady Blackbird and Magister Lor looks like a worthy successor.

I know we’ve had good times with Lady Blackbird and Magister Lor looks like a worthy successor.  Well, now we have Chapter 3 of the Tales From the Wild Blue Yonder.

It’s really nice to see John Harper fleshing out some of his worlds.

  1. Speaking of John Harper fleshing out his worlds, I’m very excited for Blades in the Dark, which is Kickstarting next week. It takes place in the same world as Ghost Lines, which is a favorite of mine.

  3. Here’s a fun secret: The world of Ghost Lines and Blades in the Dark is actually the past of the world of the Wild Blue. We played a Blades series where the PCs ended up creating the Wild Blue and opening the way for the demons to hurl the worlds into the sky. Good times. 🙂

  5. Also, the demon Setarra is from the original World of Dungeons campaign, in which the PCs broke the gates of death. One of the PCs did it in exchange for immortality. When it was time for our next game series, the players agreed to set it 1000 years later, and Ghost Lines was born. 🙂

Keith’s original WoDu character is the Immortal Emperor. 🙂

  7. Oh, Ghost/Echo totally fits in! But I feel like I’m spilling every bean here. 🙂

If one wanted to draw a connection between G/E and Blades in the Dark, though, one totally could.

  9. John Harper I love it. It reminds me of that time someone explained to me how all the Pixar movies take place in the same universe.

We’ve been playing and loving your games for a couple of years now (try Lasers & Feelings with a rotating GM; it’s the best). I’m pretty excited to see what you have in store for BitD.

  11. John Harper Actually, we do Ghost Lines with a rotating GM, as well. About a year ago we did this cool, day-long mini-convention, whereby players could jump into an ongoing game of Ghost Lines between other games. So, for example, if your group wrapped-up playing a board game or whatever, you could go jump into Ghost Lines for a bit and work a line with your character. It worked really well.
