Fiasco is a game that always delivers, and today was no exception. We played the Los Angeles: 1936 playset and it was good fun. Our characters were a dirty cop, trying to make a few bucks on the side while keeping an eye on his two-timing wife; a duplicitous young homemaker with a seedy past, and dreams of getting back in the game and scoring big; a hapless young hood trying to impress his girlfriend by screwing over his boss; and a minor mafioso, desperate to move up the ladder, but destined to always be second banana.

Thanks to our new players for coming out and giving Fiasco a whirl!

  1. Steve Mains We did have that convo, and it was great. I gather this was the first time these guys had played a narrative/improv game, but they did a terrific job (and with character accents, to boot). Initially I was concerned about not doing a more gonzo playset, since that is a space which is very comfortable for Fiasco, but our gritty noir turned out pretty well.
