Discussion: The hobby is currently consumed with the arrival of a new edition of D&D. But there are many other roleplaying games on their way this year that are also worth getting excited about. Here are some I’m looking forward to: The Clay that Woke, Worlds in Peril, Primetime Adventures (3rd ed.), Night Witches, World Wide Wrestling.
Which games or products are you looking forward to right now?
Well, just got a kickstarter update from Mars Colony: 39 Dark. So that one for sure.

Questlandia should be coming out soon. Alas Vegas sounds cool but will probably not be released until next year (or maybe never).

I’m eager to see The Strange, Timewatch, the new hardcover edition of One Ring, Urban Shadows, Project: Dark, and Mutant Chronicles. I backed all you mentioned besides Night Witches and Wrestling. Several of these are somewhat crunchy so I’m not sure how much use I’ll get out of them but I’m eager for them none-the-less. That is of course assuming that many of these actually deliver on time. Speaking of, I’m also looking forward to Call of Cthulhu 7th ed should it ever see the light of day. Oh, and I just got the Age of Rebellion book this week; I’m a huge fan of this particular Star Wars game system and we are gonna finally get to start playing it at my house game in a couple weeks (though we will be doing Edge of the Empire).

parrish warren Oh man, I love normal Mars Colony. A multi-player version is going to be terrific, I think.
Daniel Lewis I am very intrigued by Questlandia. I’m afraid Alas Vegas is going to be drowned by all its stretch goal promises.
Sean Smith I backed Project: Dark. I’m surprised you like that Star Wars game. That has been a clunker for us every time it gets to the table.

Perhaps it is novelty or the setting. Regardless, I tend to enjoy it. Having had to play Pathfinder incessantly, pretty much anything looks good to me at this point. Since we will be done with Pathfinder for the foreseeable future (I’d argue forever), we will be getting to do all kinds of games. Star Wars works well as a gateway drug to get these other people thinking like me and realizing how important the story is.

I don’t know if I’ve got the courage to play My Life With Master, so I’m looking forward to The Clay That Woke, also.

Looking forward to PTA 3rd, which I was convinced would never actually happen. Also looking forward to getting Urban Shadows to the table. And who knows if/when it’ll get released, but Apocalypse World: Dark Ages sounds neat.

Steve Mains We played a few sessions of AW: Dark Ages beta way back in the day (I think Rob had to give Vincent a hand job to get the rules from him at that time). I really enjoyed it then, and can’t wait to see how it ends up.
