A new kickstarter from John Wick about legendary weapons and the heroes they wield… I mean wield them. Jason Cordova , maybe we could use this to explore some of those artifacts from the Anthology.

It looked interesting enough that I backed it earlier. The playtest seemed fairly straight forward. Could be fun.

Hmm…I haven’t looked at the rules (or a playtest) yet, but from the video it doesn’t seem like the mechanics are closely tied to the theme of the game (or, I should say, they don’t seem like they are adding anything new to the genre). It seems like you could simply play artifacts in another story game and get a similar outcome. In fact, I have done this very thing with In a Wicked Age (where players are sentient artifacts who manifest through the people wielding them) and it worked really well. I really love the idea, though – I’ll have to keep an eye on this one.

Also: I REALLY need to go update the Anthology folder. There is so much good stuff to add right now. Maybe that will be my project later this afternoon.

Fair comment about In A Wicked Age. The description does seem like the mechanics and setting are not inextricably entwined. I still like the idea enough to warrant backing it
