After reading of Dice and Men I’ve decided I’d really love to run through some of the classic D&D modules (1st and 2nd editions). Anyone have some of them and willing to run em?

  1. I’ve got PDFs of some of them and plan to get more as my budget permits (especially the World of Greyhawk settings ones), but I’ve no desire to run them using any of the D&D rules (except maybe B/X), but I’d be willing to run them using Ambition & Avarice.

  3. I have been wanting to run ToEE for a while, using a semi-RAW approach, as there is a ton of cool fan-created aids for the module, but my gaming schedule is incredibly tight right now.

(Otherwise, I would show up for a lot more Gauntlet events than I have. Where were you guys when I was gonzo about story-games four – five years ago?)

I’ll post some links if anyone is interested.

  5. Honestly I don’t care too much about what system is used but I think it should be a system where death is a real threat. We could even go sideways with it and use something like Paranoia so we can tear through a stack of characters. 😀

Back about four years ago I was running a pretty fun game of NWoD after playing a bit of Mutants and Masterminds. I like NWoD way better.

  7. Well, I wasn’t going to reveal this yet, but I’m kicking off the new year for Wednesday Hangouts by running Temple of Elemental Evil in Dungeon World over the course of several sessions.

  9. Alex Camacho Yeah, I’m thinking we stick with Monsterhearts through October, switch to tremulus in November/December, and then do ToEE Dungeon World in January/February. Those are my thoughts, anyway. I’m open to suggestions if you’re going to be sticking around for Wednesday Hangouts.

  11. I don’t know if the use of battle maps is appropriate for Dungeon World, but many of the other maps may be helpful.

1st level of the Temple Dungeon, as well as other maps, some of which are also in the link above

PC and DM maps of the area around the main locations. These are very nice, and turn the area surrounding the Temple and Village into a genuine sandbox campaign.
