I know it probably seems early to start planning for November, but it’s much easier for me to host games if they get on my calendar as soon as possible. With that in mind, who would like to run a game for Story Game Sunday? The following dates are available: 11.03, 11.10, 11.17, and 11.24.

  1. Also, I think “Being a role-playing game on the topic of the High-Flying adventures

of Beatrice Henrietta Bristol-Smythe, DBE, daring Aviatrix and accomplished Exploratrix, and her Gentleman Companion, who for a Modest Fee, accompanies Beatrice Henrietta Bristol-Smythe, DBE, when the Occasion warrants her an Escort” might be a lot of fun.  On the other hand, I could also see it being really terrible.  I’d give it like 50/50 odds either way.

  3. Daniel Lewis Wow, and I thought “Witness the Murder of Your Father and Be Ashamed, Young Prince” was a mouthful.

I’m an Earthsea fan, so Archipelago sounds good. I just bought Our Last Best Hope a few weeks ago and wouldn’t mind giving that a spin. I think for pulp action, I prefer to try The Committee for the Exploration of Mysteries before  Beatrice Henrietta Bristol-Smythe.

None have GMs, which is ideal.

For The Committee, you’re supposed to actually sit in the living room and drink whiskey, which could be fun. I might make that one on a Saturday night.

Do you have a preference as far as the mission goes for Our Last Best Hope? I think the options are: Space, Snow, and Zombie Apocalypse.

  5. The Committee for the Exploration of Mysteries sounds like a good time.  There’s definitely more to go on than Beatrice Henrietta Bristol-Smythe, which seems like it might be a little too rules-lite.

My vote for Our Last Best Hope would probably be Snow.  It seems like the most unique option; plenty of other games already do a good job with space and/or zombies.

  7. Daniel Lewis Can you be the point person for Archipelago? I can handle Our Last Best Hope and The Committee.

I can still print out the play aids for Archipelago.
