I have mentioned to some how I thought “Pulp! the rpg” seemed like a really nice set of rules for quick one-shot game covering just about any genre, not just “pulp”. I suppose it might be a really jerk thing to do, but I had a few ideas on how to improve the rules, and so I did. My version is “Pulp! Kharma” and can be found at: http://www.bozbat.com/pulp-kharma/. Just to be clear I did run the modifications past the author, Brian Liberge and he helped me sort out some areas where I was confused.
I also have an adventure posted which is a mash-up inspired by Firefly and Star Wars. I think we are going to play this on June 7th. However, last night I couldn’t sleep and thought about a book I read years ago about the SAS in Northern France during WW2. Those guys did some crazy things armed with modified jeeps and endless supplies of tea. Then I thought to add an evil villain, Nazi of course, a cozy French village with a charming old medieval church overlooking the French countryside around Vosges, and some urban legends concerning occult Nazi organization. And voila: Black Sun Over Europe. What starts out as a standard SAS reconnaissance and liaison mission with the French Resistance turns into a deadly confrontation with The Secret Order of the Vril! Who will discover the true secret of Joan d’Arc?
