[DW] the last page of the Beginner’s Guide discussion has some interesting thoughts about using the Ritual move for the “bigger” D&D spells:

The beautiful thing about Ritual is that it covers pretty much everything that would be covered by “bigger” spells in D&D. The spells in DW are the ones that a wizard would need right away, so any spell that boils down to “I want to make happen” falls under Ritual.

  1. I remember reading that and loving it. While the spell selection is small in DW, Ritual makes it virtually limitless. And more fun, too, because you have to come up with the conditions, which could go all sorts of interesting places fictionally.
