We will be picking-up our Anthology story with some more Dungeon World. Everyone is invited. There is no need to have played in previous sessions, nor is any experience with Dungeon World required.

Today we played the new Rat Patrol playset for Fiasco.
Today we played the new Rat Patrol playset for Fiasco. It’s about genius lab rats who have escaped their cages. They have a conceptual understanding of how the world works from their encyclopedic brains, but no practical knowledge of it.
Our story involved lots of rat infanticide, cannibalism, and score-settling. It was a lot of fun!
The Walking Eye has a great interview with Meguey Baker this week.
The Walking Eye has a great interview with Meguey Baker this week. This is somewhat fortuitous, since we are going to play a couple of her games in April.
Last night we played 7th Edition Call of Cthulhu.
Last night we played 7th Edition Call of Cthulhu. I am reminded of a few old sayings: “Anything worth doing once is worth doing seven times!” and “Two in the tentacle is worth seven in my bush!” and “Seventh time’s a charm!”
Now, before this, my experience with the Cthulhuiana was rather limited. I am told it is all based on a bunch of comic books, but I wouldn’t know since I don’t read. My only experience with the Cthulhuiana is through games. So far, I have played Cthulhu Fluxx (my personal Game of the Year for 2006) and Arkham Horror. As you might imagine, given those experiences, my expectations for Call of Cthulhu’s gameplay were quite high. Well, friend, let me tell you: I was not disappointed!
My favorite part of Call of Cthulhu was when, in the first scene, we failed our roll to find the clue and everything just stopped.
I can’t wait for 8th Edition Call of Cthulhu. As they say, “If at first you don’t succeed, try at least seven more times!”
Call of Cthulhu.
I hope someone is taking pictures at OwlCon.

Some pics from Tuesday night’s game of Vesna Thaw. In this one, you play mech pilots in a post-apocalyptic Siberia. It was pretty rad!
