David LaFreniere and I were just reviewing the entries we have so far for the DR Location-Based Custom Move contest, and the creativity on display is pretty incredible. People are really expanding the boundaries of what a custom move can do. They’re not always perfect, but they’re fascinating.

We have something really fun in the hopper. Imagine an AP podcast where an entire session is boiled down to the most interesting, fiction-dense 30 minutes; where the mechanics of the game are highlighted in play, but not arbitrated in the middle of the recording; where dice get rolled, but not directly into the mic.

I’ve just listened to the first episode and it was quite enjoyable. I can’t wait to share it with you guys!

The newest episode of +1 Forward is out! In this one, Richard Rogers sits down with Stephanie Bryant to discuss her new game, Threadbare RPG, currently in Kickstarter, and other PbtA hot topics.
