It was inspired by a childhood friend’s account of running into a mascot in the restroom of a park, and a grad school friend’s stories about his experiences as Shoney Bear–stories that ended with the bone-chilling phrase “we had to burn the head.”

During last night’s session of 1%er – The Outlaw Biker Game, three of the biker PCs ran away from the cops and ended up chilling around a small playground. During some quick chatter to set up the scene, they decided they were munching on some food and chatting while waiting for things to blow over.
Dylan Ross declared that they’d ordered Ninja Burgers, which was the most brilliant callback to a GCL session (of Ninja Burger RPG) from a few months ago. It thrilled me to no end!

I’m pondering the August offering for Gauntlet City Limits. What’s GCL? It’s a living campaign set in the fictional Gauntlet City. Each month I choose a new game and run it in the collaboratively built setting that keeps growing, and growing!
Vote for the game that most interests you and influence my decision!

Using the School Daze game, I’ll be running a light-hearted pair of sessions inspired by John Hughes movies like Sixteen Candles, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Weird Science, and Breakfast Club.

Monsters and other Childish Things set in Gauntlet City Elementary.
MaoCT is a comedy horror role-playing game about small children with horrible pet monsters. The game uses the One Roll Engine.

Hey, friends who like Monsterhearts!
For months, I’ve been considering the idea of a revised edition of Monsterhearts. I’ll talk a little in the comments about some of the things on my to-change list, but more importantly: I’d like to gather some input about experiences of play.
