Lowell Francis Running Games at Gauntlet Con

Lowell is a freelance writer/editor and gaming enthusiast. He contributed to the Eisner Award-winning Legends of the Guard and IDW’s Rocketeer Adventures. As well he scripted DC Comics’s Flashpoint: Project Superman. Lowell runs games regularly for The Gauntlet Hangouts. He podcasts with The Gauntlet and Play on Target. His blog, Age of Ravens, won the Silver ENnie for Best Blog in 2017.

Lowell will be running multiple sessions of World Wide Wrestling during the con. This PbtA game simulates the on and off-camera world of “sports entertainment.” Players new and old can sign up for any session. Bring old characters, play multiple sessions, just drop in for one event– it’s a free for all. After picking from available playbooks, players will build relationships and then go through a road-show event. WWW offers great fun and an interesting twist on PbtA mechanics, even for those unschooled (and perhaps uninterested) in Pro-Wrestling.

Christopher Sniezak Running Games at Gauntlet Con

Since 2011, Chris has written and designed for games like Fate, Gumshoe (Dracula Dossier), Numenera (Tales from the Mechanical Bard), and D&D. As a podcaster, he’s been the host, producer, and/or audio engineer of The Misdirected Mark Podcast, Down with D&D, Hobbs & Friends of the OSR, and the Gnomecast. He also helps with whatever shows need some help.

In his spare time he loves listening to audiobooks and podcasts, playing board games, and watching or reading anything superhero related.

During Gauntlet Con, Chris will be running Dungeon World.

Slade Stolar Running Games at Gauntlet Con

Slade has been gaming in classrooms, basements, dorm rooms, and gaming stores since the late 90s. He spent most time with AD&D and Vampire, but found Apocalypse World at a crucial phase of his personal development and hasn’t regretted a single session since. These days, Slade is trying to play every kind of game, and thereby reduce the number in his owned-but-not-yet-played pile. With the Gauntlet, Slade enjoys playing Dungeon World and running his own wild creations, recently, Dust, Fog, and Glowing Embers, which was released in late September to all Kickstarter backers and is coming soon to the public.

During Gauntlet Con, Slade will be running Into the Odd and Dust, Fog, and Glowing Embers.

Joe’s been gaming for 35 years, off and on: D&D in the 80s, WW MUSHes in the 90s, and indie games in the 10s. He’s been recording with the Jank Cast for six years, where he gushes about Monsterhearts, slash fiction and dreamy con-goers. You can also find him on Facebook and G+, where he extends his gushing to ice cream, canning and playing guitar very badly.

Mark Diaz Truman Running Games at Gauntlet Con

Mark Diaz Truman is an independent game developer, the co-founder of Magpie Games (magpiegames.com), and the business manager for John Wick Presents. Mark has authored three indie RPGs—_The Play’s the Thing_, Our Last Best Hope, and Urban Shadows_—and written often for Evil Hat Productions, including parts of _The Fate Toolkit, Timeworks, and Do: Fate of the Flying Temple. Mark has served as a developmental editor for 7th Sea (John Wick Presents), Firefly (Margaret Weis Productions), and World of Dew (Wunderwerks), and is currently at work on his fourth indie RPG, Cartel. Jason Pitre is an award-winning game designer and professional ecologist from the wilds of Canada. He has published a series of roleplaying games including the Spark RPG, Posthuman Pathways, Circles of Power and Sig: Manual of the Primes. He also runs the RPG Design Panelcast, a podcast that shares panel and seminar recordings on roleplaying game design and publishing. In his spare time, he is a proud member of the Indie Game Developer Network (IGDN) leadership team, and is a two-time judge of the Indie Groundbreaker Awards.

Fraser Ronald is an author and game designer from Ottawa, Canada’s capital. He runs Sword’s Edge Publishing, which produces role-playing game products and can be found at http://swordsedgepublishing.ca/. His games include Sword’s Edge, Nefertiti Overdrive, Centurion, and Sword Noir.
