Seriously who brings a tiny little dog on an adventure? Maybe a Princess or one of those fancy Bards with their outlandish clothes. You know how entertainers are. Wolves and attack bogs I can see but this thing just yaps and eats. Bah!

When you are carrying the LYD you must consume an extra ration whenever you would normally consume one (or none due to class abilities). When you Make Camp or are bedded down for the night the LYD acts as an Alarm spell (as per the wizard 1st level spell) with a range of Near.

The LYD can also be used by the GM as a complication for any 6 or less result that would be appropriate.
