  1. The Hydra Cooperative stuff (Fever Dreaming Marlinko, Slumbering Ursine Dunes) is pretty neat. Waaaay weirder and more creative than any D&D adventure I played back in the day.

  3. I’ve got a book out called Kaigaku. I could send you a free copy, or if you want to put 10 bucks into the Zach Best Family Benefit Bundle it comes free with about 130 bucks worth of other books.

  5. Hmmm The Undercroft (lotfp) from Daniel Sell is always good. Also check out troika! Which is a game he published.

Dolmenwood wormskin stuff from Gavin Norman and Greg Gorgonmilk is good (also has some of my art in ittt!).

Paolo Greco puts out rad stuff, but idk if id really consider it zines at this point? They feel more fancy than than, boutique gaming documents? He had one about religious pilgrimmages id recommend checking out.

Hmmmmm on the top of my head thats what I got in my brain atm.

  7. Blood in the Chocolate by Kiel Chenier and Skyfortess Broodmother by Jeff Rients are hot shit.

I agree with Bill Templeton about Hydra Cooperative.

And what Thomas Novosel says. I wrote some reviews about Dolmenwood/Wormskin. Great setting.

Paolo Greco’s stuff is hawt, too.

And Yoon-Suin by David McGrogan http://dieheart.net/yoon-suin

And Strange Stars by trey causey (although I don’t have the OSR specific book, only the general setting book)

EDIT: right, Vacant Ritual Assembly is also worth a look.

    The Creature Compendium CC1 is a must-have.

Skerples Tomb of the Serpent Kings is a really good OSR tutorial dungeon from what I’ve read. It wants to teach you OSR “principles”. I like that.

  9. David McGrogan’s Yoon-Suin

    Courtney Campbell’s Perdition

cecil howe’s Hex-Map Kit isn’t strictly OSR but I usually run hex games with OSR systems and these maps are awesome

    Richard LeBlanc’s Creature Compendium

  11. I’ll second Domlenwood/Wormskin by Gavin Norman and Greg Gorgonmilk. I’m running a DW game set there now

Also really into Yoon-Suin… That might be next

  13. Lots of great recommentions. Also add Jacob Hurst Swordfishislands and anything by Zzarchov Kowolski and Patrick Stuart, including Maze of the Blue Medusa and I’ll second Sleeping Place of the Feathered Swine and for zines the best current OSR zine is James V West Black Pudding.

  15. In the Woods by Pearce Shea is also pretty great. Kind of an OSR Stranger Things (pre-dating it even). I really liked the feel of it, that and the Monsterparts stuff he was working on. Lots to find on his blog entries.

  17. Lots of good picks here. I will suggest. For recent adventures and setting books: Veins of the Earth, Maze of the Blue Medusa, Land of the Lost (hex crawl in fantasy Nigeria with dinosaurs), Blood in the Chocolate (a solid classic adventure).

Do Not Let Us Die In The Dark Night Of This Cold Winter is a really cool and evocative mini game.

A Pernicious Pamphlet is the best zine as setting book I have read.

  19. Thanks for the kind words. I love Gabor Lux’s stuff, especially the Khosura campaign in the pages of Fight On! Also, the Miscellaneum of Cinder by Jeff Rients and CDD4 by Kellri.

And Metal Gods of Ur-Hadad. It’s just fucking awesome.

  21. Wow. I think you’ve pretty much got about 2 “seasons” worth of content here.

Maybe for settings it would be worth to divide them into two episodes. So every 09-10, 19-20, 29-30 ect. is a setting book.
