Presently reading through Urban Shadows in preparation for tomorrow’s kickoff. Andrew Medeiros and Mark Diaz Truman deserve a ton of credit for writing a book that clearly explains how PbtA games are supposed to work. A lot of this is information we have had to learn over the course of playing many different games. This book is a fantastic guide for how all of these games work. Very impressive, and recommended reading for someone looking to get into PbtA.

A great example of what I mean in the original post is Player v. Player. It took me a lot of trial and error to figure out how to do PvP in Dungeon World. This book explains it very clearly in a few paragraphs.
