It’s a really fantastic episode. Thanks to Paul Edson for the excellent edit.

  1. I recently played Tales from the Loop with my f2f group – and I had the first ever tone / subject matter discussion with the friends I play games with for 30 years and man did that pay off. We had alcoholic single parents, domestic violence, brain slugs from outer space and lots of small town 80’s nostalgia.

The game has some mechanical issues (the lack of partial successes is infuriating), it might not work with players who don’t share the same cultural background (maybe you really have to be from the same town to enjoy it as much as we did) and I don’t know if you would enjoy it without having lived as a teen in the 80’s … but if you have the game is pure gold.
