Episode 41 of Discern Realities is here! In this one, David LaFreniere and I discuss painting the scene in Bellet Osc; the Legacy Weapon; different ways of looking at Undertake a Perilous Journey; the shrine of Gornorn, dwarven god of wrongness; and continue our adventures with Ramshackle Crow!

Enjoy!

Even as the fourth player (not playing one of the roles of Undertake a Perilous Journey), I enjoyed traveling on the rigging of the easily distracted giant.
I like the idea of begging the question (Painting the Scene), wherein you assume something fairly central, but ask for more details about it. This kind of thinking was a big part of figuring out player questions and Learning about the Environment, in TIH and DFaGE.

That method of Painting the Scene is brilliant. I’ll be using that on all systems.

Oh man, I would love to see a second edition with all of the golden DR content. If y’all decide to pull the trigger on that I will not only kickstart the hell out of it, but would happily help with editing to lighten the load.

Joshua Faller haha, not really our decision to make, I guess, but I have often thought about putting a lot of our techniques and procedures in some sort of written form.

Jason Cordova of course, I know you guys don’t hold the license but damn, it might be worth a conversation with Koebel and LaTorra.
