So I am stuck in Elgin/Austin and my internet is both laughable and sad…
This is the first Austin Gauntlet roll call to establish a likely time and place. Any Gauntleers in the area that want to set up a regular meetup? I can run or play. Dragons Lair seems like a natural spot but I am open to other suggestions. My scheduled is up in the air right now but Tuesday/Thursday/Sunday are probably out. I have at least one friend who is free most Fridays/Saturdays/Sunday. best times for me would be 6 or 7 pm to 10 or later.
I really want a breakfast taco now. Thanks, Fowler.

Also, don’t feel bound to play at Dragon’s Lair. As much as I love DLair, I always had the most fun in Austin just playing games wherever (restaurants, coffee shops, and so forth). It’s an accepted thing in Austin.

Hey, Marc Majcher, got any insight?

I live in central Austin, and I’ve been involved in the gaming scene here for years. I sent you a Hangout message with details, but here are some quick options:
There is a new group called the Parageographical Society (http://www.meetup.com/Parageographic-Society/events/228571136/). They are going to discuss/play Society of Dreamers at their second meeting.
In general, many Austin gamers tend to be very localized. I have found that they will not drive 30 minutes or so to get to a game/event. They will simply play other games that are closer to them (board games, Pathfinder, or 5E).
In South Austin, Tribes is a great store/center for games.
In Central Austin, Dragon’s Lair has lots of room for games, and is a fantastic store.
In North Austin/Round Rock, Rogues Gallery is fantastic.
If anyone else needs some Austin gaming info, reply to this, and I’ll loop you into the more extensive conversation.

Also, Dragon’s Lair has a policy regarding cursing and the like. No potty mouthery. It’s not ideal.

I don’t have a regular group (aside from board gaming at Rockingham on Fridays), so I’m down for something.

Mischa Krilov: Yes, Great Hall Games is still around, but the owners have changed. Rob and Becca sold it, but I haven’t been back there too often.

That’s too bad. The original owners were nice people.
