This is in the opening paragraph of a recent Slate article discussing Making a Murderer:

“Not only had the state of Wisconsin bestowed upon the American people Ed Gein, Jeffrey Dahmer, Gov. Scott Walker, and Dungeons & Dragons (not to mention the incomprehensible 2014 “Slender Man” stabbing), but now it had added to those considerable gifts a tentacled law enforcement bureaucracy concerned more with covering its own ass than with the pursuit of justice.”

That’s a pretty cheap shot at D&D. I mean, Scott Walker? Seriously? That’s pretty fucked up.

  3. Yeah. Seriously. WTF is that writer’s problem. Equating Dahmer with D&D is like someone in Germany “apologizing” for Hitler and VW Beetles in the same breath.

  5. I’m from Wisconsin, play D&D, dislike Scott Walker, and think that’s super shitty on a number of levels. For the record, I rarely make lampshades out of people or eat them.

I thought we were past this, “haha NERDS” business.
