I’ve been watching out for this to appear for some time as I just think it will be a blast. What I saw of the beta material had alot of promise. A no brainer PbtA for me personally.

We’ve actually played it (and I am a named NPC). It’s awesome!
Also, I’m pretty sure David K. is in our community. He’ll be happy to see the love.

That is absolutely true on all counts – Jason Cordova is an NPC in our Spirit of 77 adventure, Disco Ambulance. And you guys are great, we really appreciate the support.

For a little context, Daniel Lewis Ferrell Riley Rob Ferguson Shea Herlihy-Abba and myself did a play test of So’77 back in January. I made-up my own scenario, which was kind of a mix of The Warriors and Blackula. It was an urban supernatural thing, with zombies, called (get ready for it) “Night of the Negromancer.” The title may seem offensive at first glance until you realize 1) I have SO MUCH affection for grind house and blaxploitation flicks, and so it comes from a place of love and 2) it is very genre-appropriate.
We had a great time with it! As the disc jockey GM, I provided lots of inter-scene commentary, a la The Warriors, and played songs from David’s Spotify list for inspiration. I went one step further and prepared a trailer reel (kind of like they do at the Drafthouse), which I played before we started the game.
System-wise, it was pretty cool, even way back then. We gave some feedback, which I hope was helpful, and I’ll be curious to see what the final product looks like.
I’m pumped! Also, I just backed at the $50 level.

Arturo, you’re thinking of Interstate 76. A 70’s based racing game. We do include fast cars, but kung-fu tough guys, Glam rockers and weird science fiction.

I am so ready to play this game again.
