I am pleased to announce the new cover artist for Codex!
The next six issues of the zine will feature cover art by Vandel J. Arden! Below is the first cover, for the upcoming Codex – Iron.
I wanted the next set of covers to look completely different from those Dirk Detweiler Leichty did, so that each series of six feels distinctive. Whereas Dirk’s illustrations are somewhat abstract, almost iconography-like, Vandel’s are highly detailed (seriously: zoom in on that titan) and present dramatic scenes. I think it’s going to be a lovely change of pace and I can’t wait to see how they all turn out.
