If only I wasn’t west coast…

I wish I could, but that’s my usual in-person game night.

For those curious, Out of this World is a PbtA story game about Outsiders battling realities. Outsiders are individuals, mortal-ish and malleable, who have the will to push their way out of their source reality into the multiverse, weild reality warping power, and damn themselves with their naivety and arrogance in doing so. This is a game about exploring changing identity, the vast possibility of imagination, spiraling trauma & fixation, and the precious things we tether ourselves to.
Here is a link to the community where you can find a link to the materials, as well as various inspirational things which may get you in the mood: https://plus.google.com/communities/106115676297584948628

I would love to attend. My regularly scheduled online game (Savage Worlds – mad Max) was cancelled tonight. I have experience GMing DW (5 sessions or so).
Are you central standard or daylight time zone? I’m in eastern daylight and can attend if you are only 1 hour behind me but if 2 I might be hurting at the end…
Unfortunately I won’t have time to read any material ahead of time but am familiar with PbtA games.

Bardakus Maximus It’s CDT. Also, to be clear, the game is Thursday, not tonight.

Jason Cordova CDT is great. Thanks for clarifying the date. Hopefully my reading comprehension is stronger when dealing with RPG material than it is with parsing dates…
I just checked and I can make Thursday.
Also, I apparently have time to read the material ahead of time!

In case it helps, I tried to design the material to be a quickstart, so hopefully not everyone needs to read the material in advance 🙂

Bardakus Maximus Awesome! Yeah, like Phillip said, there is no need to prep anything beforehand. In fact, it might make the playtest more meaningful to go in “cold.”

If you want me to just stumbled in out of The Wilds I can do that too.
Phillip Wessels, Jason Cordova – I’ll show up as a rookie.

For anyone paying attention here rather than the Meetup, you will need to print a copy of the Bearings Map and the Archetypes. Here is a link to the playtest doc: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0ByS4_7KbXro_NGFMOHM0T0JkTHM/view?usp=sharing

Actually, I think I’ve worked out a Google Sheets solution if you prefer not to print anything.

Jason Cordova Thanks for the heads up. I want checking the meetup.
I’ll print just in case I have trouble with the sheets method. Although group editing sheets would be handy for the GM as they can “see” the live sheets.
As for meeting up… do I just have hangouts open and wait for the call to come in?

Bardakus Maximus That is correct. I also post a link on the Meetup event page.

Jason Cordova sounds good. I’ll be there with bells on.
