Gauntlet Update

Gauntlet Update

I just wanted to let the community know about a few things we have in the works. Feedback is welcome.

+1 Forward

A lot of people have been asking about the new show. We hope to have the first episodes out the door by the end of the month. The format is nearly complete, and Rich has been getting in touch with guests he’d like to have on.

Website

I’m steadily working on a proper website for The Gauntlet. The G+ Community has served us pretty well, but I don’t have high hopes for G+’s future. I’d like for us to be ready when Google decides to finally switch off the lights.

Codex

Codex is a tentative title, but the idea is to finally (FINALLY!) start doing some publishing. I envision a monthly PDF, around 4-6 pages in length, containing original stuff you can use for your games. My short-term goal, though, is much more modest: to get a single test issue out the door. I have some people in mind I’d like to work with on this test issue, and I’ll be getting in touch with them soon, but if anyone reading this has some thoughts, or would be interested in helping out in some way, please let me know.

  1. And so it began. The gauntlet became the dominating world

power. The religion of the masses is discern realities where they must find out what is useful or valuable. Robogary3d6 may try to assassinate our fearless God-emperor, but we will be ready!

  3. It was in the dark early gauntlet days.  The moderator at the time wanted to stop paying meetup fees, so he shut down the meetup and made a crappy webpage instead that was hacked within a couple of weeks.

  5. Like 6-7 years, though “involved” is probably overstating it.  It wasn’t much more than a forum to find private D&D campaigns back in the day.

  7. Yes! I think that’s an awesome name. (I realize now that my first comment might be read as sarcastic, but it’s actually totally authentic. I think the word “codex” is one that people should be using more often.)
