just did some fast reading. i would use Mordenkainen’s Disjunction. when you focus your will into the sceptre you can break down the magical effects surrounding you for a short time. roll plus int. on a 10 plus hold 2 on a 7 through 9 hold 1. all magical spells and effects are disrupted in your presense. (30 ft if you need to specify) spend hold to:
* maintain your own ability to use magic
* maintain the magical properties of an item you touch
* perminatly destroy one magical effect.
