I’m hoping to follow Jason Cordova lead and run some classic modules using World of Dungeons (Tomb of Horrors anyone?). I’m after online resources, fanzines or communities people have found useful to support World of Dungeons?
I’m specifically looking into advice for conversions and content for fleshing out the magic system a bit?
Curious to see what people can share.

Maybe consider putting the original Temple of Elemental Evil on your list. That’d be a longish campaign — more than 4 session I’d imagine.

I was toying with Keep on the Borderlands, Lost City or Dark Tower – I was worried Temple would be too long

yeah, ToEE is pretty long… I’ve toyed with running ToEE, but part of me wants to dip back into a crunchy 2e campaign…

What specific questions do you have about the magic system, Eadwin Tomlinson?

I’m seeing it as working much like patrons in DCC but wondered what people had come up with around it. I’ve been reading some details around scope and strength of your tamed spirits so that’s helped. I guess conversion is more important – GP to SP handling magic items etc. I’m probably just looking for resources to help run it.

For Panya (Lauren’s character) I basically ripped off the AW Chopper’s move. Other magicians in the game may operate slightly differently.
Wizardry: when you impose your will on a summoned demon, roll+Int. If the task falls within one of its domains of power, you always roll with at least a +1 modifier.
On a 10+, all 3.
On a 7–9, choose 1:
• It does exactly what you want (otherwise, it does precisely what you say and maybe more)
• It doesn’t fight back over it (otherwise, it does fight back, wasting time in the moment)
• You don’t lose access to its power (otherwise, you will lose it for a time after it obeys you)
On a miss, one of your demons makes a bid, idle or serious, to replace or remove you.

A conversion question… Do levels matter for WoD conversions… I mean is it possible to be too high level for a direct port? I want to get a feel for how much tinkering I have to do with creatures n’ stuff. Maybe I’m worrying too much and should just schedule it used my arcane DM powers to guide me…

Eadwin Tomlinson I think the most important thing is to not get too hung up on the numbers, but rather focus on the themes, NPCs, and flavor of the module.

Ok so it’s more DW still than OSR – Perfect I should be fine then

IME levels work out about the same between WoDu and D&D et al. Converting AC for npcs and monsters can be a bit of a fiddle: there’s not really an easy formula to use.
Often I skip “armour” since HP covers it already – and pbta PCs rarely gang up the same way traditional D&D characters do. And AC isn’t a target number in WoDu.
