Hey all!

Hey all!

Hey all!

I’m the Teen Services Librarian for a library system, and our planned December activity just can’t happen so I thought I’d throw in “Daily Dungeon Design” instead. It would be like Inktober for Dungeons; we’d have our patrons create a small dungeon every school day, and then publish it online.

For this I think we need a good example of a public domain or rights appropriate dungeon key, a list of “dungeon inspirations” and maybe a cool rights appropriate dungeon to put on the posters I’ll put in our social media and print for the library. If you know of a good dungeon key, could you point me in that direction?

What do you think?

  1. That is such an awesome idea, I would have loved having something like that when I was in school…

As for inspiration, you can check One Page Dungeon entries. They are released under Creative Commons Share Alike license (so you can reuse and remix them as long what you make is released under the same license): dungeoncontest.com – Dungeon Contest.Com: Home of the One Page Dungeon Contest

I am not sure about a public domain map key, there are some free keys online. I am sure you can reach to someone like Richard behind D30 Companion to make sure you can use his free key: http://savevsdragon.blogspot.com/2012/03/free-download-master-dungeon-mapping.html

Also, look through the advice in Dysonize your dungeon here: https://dysonlogos.blog/maps/tutorials-help/ it will help even non artists make really nice looking maps 🙂
