ADAPTING ICONS
I have a new post up over at Age of Ravens. I look at the icon mechanics from 13th Age, why I like them, and how they could be ported over to other games. We created our own set of icons with our Microscope world building and I have a follow up post coming which showcases what we came up with.
Great article! I actually just started a game of Dungeon World using Icons. I adapted the Debt mechanics from Urban Shadows for mine – it’s too early to say how that’s going to work, but it seems to be something my players are interested to engage with, at least. I’m looking forward to reading more about what your group is doing with it.

Brendan Clougherty Nice– that’s a really interesting idea. There’s a really interesting push/pull to those debt mechanics.

The next edition of Fourth World will surround Passions with a system heavily influenced by icons.
