Some folks have asked how limited the Codex Volume 1 book will be. I think they want to know if they can just pick it up later. The answer is “It is going to be extremely limited.” We’re doing a single print run, sending them to our backers, selling whatever is left through various channels, and then that’s it! We’re not a traditional publisher, and so my intention is to print as few of these books as possible (margin be damned).
If we decide to do Volume 2 or Volume 3 down the road (spoiler alert: we will) and you’re a completionist who regrets not getting Volume 1 when you had the chance… I don’t know what to tell you. You will be out of luck. Maybe convince someone to sell you theirs?
It is not feasible for us to do another print run of this book, point blank (we’re already going to barely squeak out a “profit” on this one). And even if it was feasible, The Gauntlet is simply not moved by the business considerations that might make us want to do it again.

Thank you for being so transparent. I, for one, really appreciate it.

$230 away from the next goal. Selfishly I was waiting to pledge to try and be the “guy” who made a goal happen, but I stopped procrastinating this morning and put my skin in the game. 🙂

That sold me. That printer does beautiful work. I recommend you advertise that.
