Is there any room at GauntletCon for a “long con” format? like, 3-4 sessions of a game spaced out over each day?
I’m interested in offering to run Stonetop, but it is not a game built for one-shots

I’m pretty sure Jason Cordova was contemplating to run 3 games of the same type on 3 consecutive days. In any case I’d sign up for all Stonetop sessions in a heartbeat.

Do it!

Yes, was a long con last year. Do it!

And why not put 4 sessions on the regular calendar for September? overlapping whispers say, “Dooo it! Dooo it!”

I was thinking about running Homebrew World at the Gcon with your permission Jeremy Strandberg 😁

Maxime Lacoste you definitely do not need it, but you certainly have it!

But I derailed the conversation sorry. Jason or Kate would know about long cons. I dont see anything wrong with it IMO.

Kate Bullock, Jason Cordova I just checked out the submission form and I’m a little confused. The Gauntlet Con page says Oct 18-21, but the earliest time slots are on Friday, Oct 19.
Does the con start on the 18 or 19? 3 days or 4?
Thanks!

Depends what part of the world you’re in, Jeremy Strandberg . And the form should show times based on your timezone

Christo Meid the form I’m seeing specifically states it’s in EST (and not your local time), and the earliest slot is Fri @ EST 8am, which would be Fri @ 1am at GMT -11.
So, if it’s taking world-wide timezones into account, it’d appear to go from Oct 19 – 22.

I’ll give Kate a chance to chime in. In the meantime, I’ll ask the Gauntlet Con slack channel how this should be handled.

Jeremy Strandberg last year Gauntlet Con started on Thursday evening with pick-up games and people already hanging out together at the Discord tavern.
Thursday evening is like on f2f cons when everybody is already checking in at the location but official program hasn’t begun yet.

Gerrit Reininghaus got it, that clears up my confusion. Thanks!

Jeremy Strandberg wow, Stonetop looks amazing. I read a short blogpost description. I want to learn more about it.

John Atwood, not sure which post you read, but if you want to learn more, try here:

Here’s the (rather meandering) G+ collection of random stuff:

We had long-cons last year and we’d love one or two this year! Just add “This is part x of a y part series. While you don’t need to attend all y sessions, it is ideal if you do.” And add The Adventure Name: Part x of y to the title

I would potentially be in, as a player, if you opt for this approach. Let me know! To be honest, if it doesn’t work, you should just do “STONE CON” at the same time!
