Hey folks, I keep seeing threads with people being excited to find “good quality” Cyberpunk2020 core books on Amazon—it’s available in print… just order a new copy from http://www.talsorianstore.com
Core book is $30 + shipping and they have some source books (and the cybergeneration line).
I saw people buying them for $300, ridiculous! If you’re abroad the core is POD on DrivethruRPG but… I’m not sure how great it would come out if it’s using the scanned pages like the PDF file.
They’re also releasing Cyberpunk Red, an updated core book in October of this year. No idea what that _means_ just yet; is it art, rules, etc. Who knows.
I hope the art is better than CP3!

I think it’s an updated version of 2020, but not positive.

Ohh so like a sourcebook update, or like cyberpunk 2077 TTRPG version.

It’s a new game from Pondsmith. Basically, Cyberpunk V4. Or at least that was the plan.

Ohhh, interesting! I’ll have to check that out when it drops, wonder how he’s updated he system.

That thumbnail image is not great, content wise.

Isn’t it great how the mere announcement of a future video game can spark a sudden interest in an old rpg? I’ve seen LFG posts on Roll20 this week for cyberpunk.

Chris Shorb I caught an article on Kotaku UK yesterday that expressed a concern that while it seemed to be sticking to what they felt were the roots of the genre, they’re working from a thirty year old playbook (although this was only based on the closed-door demo).
Just to sidetrack, this is my problem with things like Humans and Detroit. Blade Runner gets a pass because of when it came out. Contemporary material that ignores social progress grinds my gears. The world has changed. Adapt and update!
