THE REAPERS (open table concept for DW)
Hello!
I recently started to listen to the Whe Hunt the Keepers podcast.
That and the last Gauntlet podcast got my inspired to create something that would facilitate open table play in my own games.
I plan to run Dungeon World (or perhaps World of Adventure) games for the Gauntlet later this year when I finally have a stable schedule.
Let me know what you think about it. Any good feedback is welcomed!
A good CATS will be a MUST for these types of games obvioulsy.
(For those who don’t know what CATS stands for please look at the replies below).

What’s CATS? I googled it and found… a lot of possibilities (https://acronyms.thefreedictionary.com/CATS – also “CATS RPG” returns a lot of awesome links to RPGs about cats). Do you mean “computer and telecom services” as in, have a good webcam and high speed connection? That seems the most likely, but I thought I’d check.

Oh! Thanks. It’s a game pitch / game creation discussion, but with an agenda in easy to remember mneumonic form. Neat. I dig it.

Its part of the gaming good practice techniques. A way to inform players prior to a game of what to expect. I kind of disclaimer if you want.

Sorry about assuming everyone knew what the acronym stood for. My bad.

Eh. Par for the course when you join new communities that have been talking to each other for a while. Generally I dislike jargon, but I see value in using some common/agreed on term for it. CATS is not just a pitch, it’s an agenda for a discussion to collaboratively develop a game pitch, which is a lot to say, so it’s totally worth creating an acronym for it.

Pardon my ignorance – should I delete my comments now that I know what it means, so it doesn’t distract, Maxime Lacoste?

(Also, if you ever need CATS, just use the magic phrase in the Slack – which is also the best keyword – “SummonCATS”)
