Hey fellow nerds! It’s Monday (for most of you), and Tuesday for me, and you know what that means? WEEKLY SELF-STARS!
What did you do this week that excites you? What do you want to do in the next seven days?
I’m really exited to hear all the achievements you’ve made and will make.
Star: Hey, my Dogs town got published in Codex so that’s pretty awesome. I’m proud of the work I did on it, and it came out looking real real good.
Wish: I’ve got Lady Blackbird coming up, starting tonight. My goal is to manage pace more than anything. Racing explosive scenes, quiet loving refresh scenes. Oh I’m really stoked, but I’m also really nervous about the whole thing. Like anything where you’ve got big hope and dreams, it feels like a very tall mountain to climb from here. I’ll let you all know how it goes!

Thanks Sid for the weekly Stars and Wishes!
Star(s): Likewise saw Final Girl: A Game of Love published in Codex (which was kind of my star last week but shhh). Thank you all for the lovely feedback on it! Otherwise, I made some progress on other game projects as I promised myself (not as much as I wanted, but it still counts!) and I went home and hung out with Alex McManamon and we talked game design and it was amazing.
Wish: Over the next seven daaayyss… I have some hard deadlines for myself I’d like to complete by the weekend. So if future Lauren could meet those that would be great! You can do it, future Lauren~~~

Star Finished recording an ep and made some cover art for it that i’m really proud of! I also started working on a game design project that has direct connections to my childhood rpg gaming – and i’m excited to see if I can make it work.
Wish We are moving house at the moment – i’m hoping it all goes as smoothly and cheaply as possible – and in a few weeks from now we are all happily ensconced in our sweet dew digs!

Star: I ran WoDu for the first time to prepare for my Blood in the Chocolate sessions. It was clumsy, but I had great players and now have some familiarity with the system.
Wish: That I would actually get pen to paper and start the game I have rattling around in my head. I wish I could move past the fear of beginning.

Star: Has to be Monsterhearts: Camp Mercy Falls. Handily the two best sessions of MH I have ever run, which is really saying something because I think I run MH even better than I do DW/WoDu.
Wish: I’m trying to expand our footprint to other social media platforms and there is a bit of a learning curve to it. I figured out Twitter, but FB feels like more of a challenge, and I have no fucking clue how to handle Instagram.

Star: Fulfilled last week’s wish and signed up for a Gauntlet hangout game. Hooray!
Wish: Finish a playtestable draft of one of my ongoing projects.

Star: Nunslinger! Apart from that, I think I’ve got a good enough grasp on WoDu to start running/hacking my own shit.
Wish: Basically the same as Jason Tocci

Thanks, Sidney Icarus.
Star: It’s been good this week. 1) Using Trello to help organize my gaming projects. 2) Updating the Fullmetal Alchemist hack, Dogs of the Military, from Dogs in the Vineyard while listening to FMA Brotherhood. 3) Getting a copy of a playtest recording for the NightMirror RPG from a friend. 4) Discussing guests for our local convention, Gamicon. 5) Editing text and designing a cover for the upcoming mini-campaign playtest copy of Space Station Omega, a RPG of politics and drama among the stars for Cortex Prime. 6) Reading a great book about the collapse of the Late Bronze Age while thinking about more setting content for the Vigilance RPG. 7) Buying a copy of the Fantasy Flight Games generic RPG system, Genesys.
Wish: Find out one way or another about scheduling the SSO mini-campaign playtest.

I started writing Demihumans again this week after waiting too long to do so. In the week upcoming, I’m hoping to sell lots of games and make a big splash at PAX East.

star I went to visit my family in rural Missouri and survived! Came home and started my new job!
wish new job is a dream come true, so I just hope I don’t screw it up!

Star: I submitted Four Houses in Amber and No GM’s Sky to DTRPG for review/publishing. These titles are both solo/GM-less frameworks for running Amber Diceless and Traveller/Cepheus Engine respectively.
Wish: I’ve spent a lot of time creating rules, so now I have a back log of systems to play. I hope to get some gaming, solo and otherwise started.

Star: had my first published game released in codex this weekend. Also had a great session of Night Witches
Wish: I’m writing a game about a family and zombies. I hope that it will go well in playtesting. I also posted to run it for gauntlet, I hope that fills up with people excited about the concept

Star: My guy in need of a rescue made it into the codex! Also, I ran four days of Ars Magica and had a ton of fun with that. And I hid 12 easter eggs in a German RPG forum. And I started the translation of Cheat Your Own Adventure.
Wish: Finish the layout for my translation. Play Home After Dark. Run Supernatural with Fate for my table group. Find more stuff to translate.

Star: I facilitated a two-player game and it went pretty well!
Wish: I want to get a custom deck actually working on rollforyour.party.

Ryan McNeil Yay! Well done on facilitating. I’m looking forward to watching the video. Hope it’s an excuse for you to run more stuff for us.
