I feel like y’all have addressed the subject before, but given that GauntletCon is fresh in everybody’s minds, it might be a good time to talk about tips & tricks for making a con-style one-shot sing. With complete strangers. Who maybe haven’t read more of the game than your slot description. And are potentially distracted by thinking about the game they just came from or the one that’s coming up next. All in only 3-4 hours! I know I’d appreciate the advice.

How do you deal with self-doubt, and the post-game downers? I’d say approaching this question from both the angles of doing things like asking for highlights / feedback, but also for even when all the players rave about how they loved a game, and you still feel that self-doubt.

I’d be interested in hearing how GMs who recieve constructive feedback convert that feedback into action?
Also – I bet GMs are like me – they have many sources of GM improvement tips. How to take those tips and a) select which ones to attempt and b) how to actually execute on them?
