What are some of the Gauntlet’s favorite PBTA starters?

What are some of the Gauntlet’s favorite PBTA starters? Can be Dungeon World, Apocalypse World, Monsterhearts, anything PBTA. There’s a lot of great DW starters I’ve seen (including Ray Otus’ great work –– my favorite of his is Hoard, for making an old fantasy trope fun and interesting), but I’m curious what starters the Gauntleteers love and use across all PBTA systems. So what are your favorite PBTA starters?

  1. Just heard a good one from one of my players that started running a DW game of his own and I just love it:

Your characters were soldiers in the Great War. Despite your valiant efforts the war turned against your side and you remember your death on the battlefield. It’s somehow 10 years earlier and you remember the war and what lead up to it. You seem to be the only ones and you have finally found each other. Tell me about the war? Who started it? Why did you lose? What will happen to the world afterwards? What will you do differently this time to prevent or win the war? Why is it going to be difficult?

  3. I think the Austin, TX one for Urban Shadows that is in Codex – Blood is really solid. I’m listed as the author, but it was kind of a group effort, so I don’t mind shilling it, haha

  5. Do you mean like story starters?

I acquired the book called “21 jump points” it is a supplement for Uncharted Worlds.

It contains great leading questions to starting any type of adventure with 3 very well fleshed out story starters. The mood of all of them is space-opera setting, but I think a space station flooded by immigrants can be easily transformed to a medieval city flooded by immigrants.
