The winning games were Mechanical Oryx by Gauntlet fave Grant Howitt, Memories by Santiago Eximeno and Route Clearance by Andy Millar (my personal favorite of the many entries I read).

We offered a few illustrious prizes for the contest this year, and we’ll be getting in touch soon about all those things. In the meantime, big thanks and congrats to David Schirduan and Marshall Miller for organizing this year’s contest, which I am told was bigger than the two previous years combined!

If you haven’t yet had a chance, go check out the winning entries at the link below!

  1. Congrats to the winners and thanks to everyone for putting this together and for the Gauntlet’s sweet bonus prizes. While my entry didn’t make the cut, I’m planning on release a “full” version sometime soon.

  3. Todd CrapperThere were a bunch of games that, with a little bit of extra word count, would have been amazing. David LaFreniere and I are thinking about getting in touch with some of those folks to see if they’d be willing to expand their entries and let us publish them in Codex.

  5. Also, since I couldn’t talk about this before the judging was finished, my other favorites from the contest were: The Human World by Clio Yun-su Davis, So You’re Becoming a Dragon by Wendy Gorman, Bunk Beds by Adam McConnaughey, The Last Day by Andrew J. Young, and Trash Pandas by Eric Farmer

  7. Eric Farmer For what it’s worth, there was a bit of consternation over the fact that Trash Pandas didn’t make it to the final round of judging on our call to select the winners. It had several passionate fans on the judging panel.
