Just wrapped up some deadly times at Dharma Heights!

Just wrapped up some deadly times at Dharma Heights! An insane fireman raged over the willing and unwilling participants at a yoga retreat gone terribly wrong. Only (known womanizer) Kale survived.

So crispy. So tasty. What a delight. With Gerrit Reininghaus David Rothfeder Yoshi Creelman

  1. Good job Michael X. Heiligenstein ! I’ll try to be one of the victims err players! if you ever directs another one.

Question: How did you handle the use of cards on Hangouts?

  3. How cool, our group just played The Final Girl yesterday. Premise: Underground Mars Colony with robot dogs and a strange substance collected by an expedition.

  5. Yoshi Creelman, I still contend that firemen are miss named. Mailmen deliver mail, salesmen sell stuff. Aquaman protects the water. They all help the stuff they’re names after happen. So obviously you should call a fireman when you want a pompous ass to die in a fire.

  7. Maxime Lacoste, there was a little wonkyness, As the interface has some bugs if multiple people try to interact with the same object at the same time. Like when every is trying to draw new cards all at the same time.

Also each person’s hand is at the bottom of the screen, so there is some visual weirdness as others draw cards to their hand but it looks like they are going to your hand but don’t.

There is no easy way to mark the table, so when you lay cards on the table you have to call out which card is yours (no way to visually designate an area per player/character)

All sort of minor things, but stuff I noticed while playing.

  9. David Rothfeder sure, but professions aren’t about “helping” the namesake object, but working with, spending time with, and being focused on the object.

A Fireman would be some one who deals with fires, someone who’s job is focused around fires. Primarily with extinguishing them. I guess if we didn’t want to shorten everything, Fire-extinguishing-men, would work, but be a mouth full, and probably get shortened anyway.

  11. But a fireman doesn’t want fires to exist, other professions do want their namesake to exist. All I’m saying is that if an alien learned our language, they would assume they go to a fireman when they wanted to roast the FBI agent who insists the truth is out there

  13. Trashmen don’t want trash to exist. (Well maybe so they still have a job, but that’s the same way a Fireman would want fire). Neither does a mortitian want death.

But, your right most jobs about undesirable objects are not named after the object, but that is not always the case.
