Hi – new to this community so I hope I’m not misusing it. I like the discussions I’ve seen so far, and would like to see what you guys come up with. I am currently homebrewing a setting where, in brief, the Last Battle Against Evil happened a generation ago and the Forces of Good won. It is meant to be somewhat tongue-in-cheek, somewhat satirical, with room for seriousness. The PCs are some of the last “evil” beings left free in the world, and end up having to kind of grudgingly save the world from itself. (This is based on the premise of Villains By Necessity by Eve Forward, which I wish was in ebook format. Anyway) What I’m looking for are ideas you have for elements and set-pieces for a world a generation after the victory of the Forces of Good. I have my own ideas of course, but I’d like to add to them. So…

PCs go to police station to report a minor crime, and the police talk like that could never happen here, anymore.

Chris Shorb It’s also fun to incorporate elements from The Invention of Lying, especially early on, so the PCs can have fun lying to incredibly credulous people.

A news report about a possible evil resurgence and murder most foul, but it turns out it was just the result of a series of comical accidents.

There could be a purge of anyone that even remotely displays evil tendencies.

Logan Howard Yeah I was thinking that one of the main antagonists could be leading that kind of purge, but going overboard in a way that would lead to a dystopia.

Doug Hagler You could make it super creepy and have it extend to kids being “naughty”.

You might want to look at Savage Worlds’ setting “Necessary Evil”. It’s a different premise but has a lot of similarities to your idea. It might give you some ideas.
