If you want, you could certainly assign different colors or different types of dice. But in practice I don’t find it’s necessary. The problem is that Players sometimes forget they have such things, not that they forget what they mean. When you have a little glass bead sitting in front of you reminds you of “that thing you have”, whatever it is.
