Games You’re Looking Forward to in 2017!
Which games are you excited about in 2017? Something new from Kickstarter? An older game you have yet to play? What excites you about it?

Apocalypse World 2 – I am ready to return to barfing forth apocalyptica. AW started it all for me
World Wide Wrestling/Monsterhearts 2 – curious about the mechanics
Dungeon World/World of Dungeons/Blades in the Dark – just want to play these more
Also want to try The Final Girl, Lady Blackbird, The Indie Hack and The Fall of Magic.

Tales From the Loop. Taking the alpha PDF for a spin tomorrow.
Mutant: Year Zero. After hearing Lowell Francis sing its praises on the podcast.
Stonetop. Jeremy Strandberg’s DW campaign setting that I am helping develop.
Freebooters on the Frontier 2nd edition. My personal fantasy heartbreaker.
Spirit of ’77. Again, since it provided so much entertainment in 2016. Likely hacked in an Elmore Leonard direction.
Mutant Crawl Classics. For the sheer gonzo.
Blades in the Dark. Waiting eagerly for the final cut.
Witch: the Road to Lindisfarne and/or Montsegur 1244. To learn how a more tightly-framed RPG feels.
So many games! So little time!

Still waiting to play Trailblazer. My resolution for 2017 is to finally make and sell my own space ship game app.

Agree with Jason Lutes MCC and BitD are both on my long list of games that might arrive this year & I’m excited about.

Also, non-TTRPG, Persona 5 will finally be coming to NA.

Story Cubes the RPG! I’ve been looking at different ideas for using Rory’s Cubes for several months and decided to try this one. I’m going to run it in February 🙂 Steve Mains I was so “mad” when you mentioned using them on the podcast! I thought, “now everyone is going to think I stole the idea from Steve!” 😛

Mutant Year Zero (own it, nevwr had a chance to play it).
Kult: Divinity Lost (backed the KS – seems something between a PbtA and WoD).
Trudvang, for its sheer beauty.
Also will likely play:
– Burning Wheel
– Colonial Marines (a Torchbearer Hack)
– Lots of Fate and FAE
– Lots of D&D (5e, B/X, AD&D 2)

Yes, Pamela Alexander! DFAE!
And I hope that Magpie’s Zombie World will get a nice ashcan release or we’ll get into the playtest, because the game I played at Origins last year was amazing (and I have no great affection for zombie tropes–it was just a really well put together game).

I’m excited to run my first dungeon world game next month.

At least Urban Shadows, Epyllion, The Indie Hack, and Wandering monster High School.
I want to do Swords Without Master a few times too. I’ve got a nifty Roll20 setup for it.

Dialect when that drops.

Oh god, I have so many Kickstarter games I’m waiting to arrive. I’ll have to check my master list and get back to this thread.

A Single Moment – I need to buy and play, I heard good things about it…and Samurai Duels.
Fall of Magic – I need to play, I heard good things about it on some Podcast.
Colonial Gothic 3rd Edition – Need to buy and play, the older editions were okay and really dig the setting.
Bogeyman and Fear Monger – I traded games for these years ago and have yet to check ’em out. Plus they’re horror games using playing cards…those can be fun.

I got a few games I really want to play in 2017, Night Witches, Spirit of ’77, and Velvet Glove. I’m also super-excited about John Harper’s new Breakers, which is based on World of Dungeons.

Bluebeard’s Bride! I’m excited to try out that kind of horror and see the mechanics in play!
Tales of the loop, because it looks super strange with kids on bikes in the 80s with futuristic cool machines in the setting. Super into that and like the system it runs on quite a bit. Also want to play Coriolis, same system but sci-fi space action.
The Watch, because of the mechanics reinforcing a really interesting and evocative theme!

Kickstarted Blades in the Dark (my wife did actually, she beat me to it). That will get to the table by the end of this month. Aaaaand a little game Called where the Heart Is by Indyhippo. It is about non-traditional families with more than two parents in the household with possibly complex love lives living under one roof to raise the children.

-Stonetop (a DW reskin)
-Star Wars World Nebula Edition
-The final release of Blades in the Dark (so I can finaly decide if it’s a game for me).
-Dark Eye 5th Edition
-Monsterhearths 2
I’ve decided to list only upcoming games.

Ahhhh hehehe it’s the next iteration of Star Wars World by Andrew Meideros. I think it’s a bit on the backburner for now because he’s working on other projects but we should see it (probably) this year. There’s a g+ page for SWW if you want to follow the development. The current version is already very solid.

City of Mist will, hopefully, be in my hands soon. Trying to get my home group to split time between Shadowrun 5 and Dungeon World. Those are the big ones for now. I would love to get Apocalypes World 2ed on the table this year as well, but not sure i can monopolize that much time.

Blades in the Dark especially the various setting hacks that are planned with the Kickstarter.
City of Mist – will be excited to see the final product (with laminated accessoires).
Monsterhearts2 is also on my list.
