Hello everyone!
I made a new design for Dungeon World playbooks that I wanted to share. I initially made them to use for my custom playbooks I am currently working on. However, I decided I wanted to also set up the normal playbooks in my format after my players told me how much they liked them. I added a few things for ease of use and you may notice a blank space near the damage section. That is for any playbooks I make that use a special resource. I decided to keep the space in order for the playbooks to be uniform. Let me know what you all think of the Barbarian in my new format!
Also, I may offer to convert other peoples’ playbooks into this format in the future if they have no means of doing so or they just like the format. I am not sure on the specifics of doing that yet, but I do have a few options rolling around in my brain.

I do like the flags there.

i like the icons for adventuring gear and rations. also appreciate all the right things being in bold

I love the flags section and the blanks for both alignment and race. I would suggest pre-checking the moves the class already has in the “you also start with all of these” section.

It looks really great! I love the fresh layout. My only concern would be if I were printing it out, the second page doesn’t say it’s for the barbarian playbook and it would get jumbled up if I wasn’t doing double sided printing

The gear section is the best, yes.

The gear section was the favorite feature of my group as well. I always hated having to keep track of adventuring gear and rations without an actual spot on the sheet.

This is great. Will you make all the basic playbooks available eventually? I really dig this!

I will probably get them all eventually. It’s really just if I have some spare time to put the effort into it.

Very very cool. Love the equip. Love the blanks.
Mixed opinion on Flags… I mean it’s great, but some people like to do bonds (esp for one-offs) and yes the originals can be used for that… but almost curious if the area could be “Flags or Bonds”, but then it’d be a toss up which is which. And I’m not sure if many people play with both. I haven’t gotten to test that yet. But of course I could always just put a bond there… just means I got to look them up… it’s the only thing I’m not 100% gung-ho about on this sheet.

Tomer Gurantz It’s a matter of real estate honestly. I had to choose one over the other so I went with flags since that’s what my group leans towards. However I do get what you mean about making it say both so people feel more inclined to use what they want. You guys have been great giving me feedback! I really appreciate it.

Have you looked into making the flags/bonds a setting so it could be one or the other depending how the layers are set?

Victor Wyatt Scott Selvidge yah, was thinking similar. Almost having an icon at the start of each line you could circle (like a chain for Bonds and little flag for Flags).

Victor Wyatt I was leaning more towards making it optional. I’d rather not put one or the other on a sheet. Tomer Gurantz Thats more what I was thinking, though I’m not sure having a check or circle is necessary. I picture groups using only one or the other in their games, so they would know what they were using. My group actually uses flags along with a Long-Term goal and a Short-Term goal. So we would end up writing in the long-term and short-terms even with the new sheets lol
EDIT: The link now contains some of the suggested changes! I made the flags section say Bonds/Flags, pre-checked the starting moves and added a faded banner to the bottom of the backside of the sheet to indicate what class it is for.

The updated version is excellent. This is very high quality stuff. You could easily put these up on DriveThruRPG and be proud of it.

Agreed. Looking forward to these sheets!

Oh, one other thought. How about the little ration (etc) boxes as one box instead of separating the icon from the value. Something like this? http://imgur.com/nvxK7ut (the top of the picture is the original, the bottom would be a proposal)

Maxime Lacoste Not sure I could sell them on drive thru if they are the original classes, but I don’t know how that works. I am going to put my custom classes up there for sure once they are done. I also thought about offering to take peoples’ classes they have made and format them into my design for a small fee. Not sure how the best way to do that would be (Patreon, Fiverr, etc). Tomer Gurantz That is a good suggestion on the boxes! I think I will alter them.

Well all of Dungeon World is under the Open Design license. Several different version of the original playbooks are already available on DriveThruRPG. (You’res is the best yet).

Question: I considered making A4 versions of these as well, but I noticed how much more room it makes. If any of you have any experience in this, do you adjust every little thing to the new size or just leave some empty space? Sometimes I like empty spaces on my sheets, but that’s just me.

A4 paper is very uncommon in the Americas so it’s not used much.

Maxime Lacoste I just see it as options for several things on drivethru. I was under the assumption it was commonly used in Britain, but I wasn’t sure. I guess I could always wait and see if anyone requests them at that size before I go through all that editing.

I can’t speak for the UK. I live in Quebec. Here it’s used but very unfrequently. It’s more for legal papers and such.

Scott Selvidge It might be a good idea to share them in a editable format. Some of us may help you to finish the rest of the playbooks. I’d like to make a translation into spanish eventually (not right now, I am busy atm)
