Excellent example of using a scene detail to change the whole direction of the story!

What do you fine lads think of running a Q-and-A and/or a contest in the Spout Lore section?

Sure! Whenever it fits your schedule.

I don’t have a compendium class to enter; however, I am interested in using the contest as an opportunity to discuss an extremely serious topic:
“Compendium class” is a terrible, stupid name.
They are called this because the compendium in which they debuted gave them no moniker at all. Class Warfare called them (sort of) “specialties”. My own hacks call them “obsessions”. But even terrible names like “options” or “sub-classes” are better than “compendium class”.
Surely this community can come up with something better.

Lester Ward You know, you’re right: “compendium class” is pretty awful.
