I’m a little late posting these, but Gauntlet NJ recently played Jason Morningstar’s Carolina Death Crawl for our Friday Night Drive-in series. I’ll have more to say on Sunday’s episode of The Gauntlet Podcast, but for now, I just wanted to give a dream to all the players, particularly Patrick, who was a really unnerving and effective swamp ghost for half the game.
Thanks to Patrick O’Leary valeria ballerini (and Soren, who I can’t tag).
Also, check out that hot-ass Prisma filter on those photos!
So unnerving having two people whispering in your ear telling you all the ways you’re a horrible human being.

I like that filter a lot! I hope you had a good game.

Would you recommend the game. We never got around to playing it in our group, even if it was discussed a few times.

Philipp Neitzel Yes, very much so. It was the fourth or fifth time I had played it. The first time I played was a little awkward because my friends and I were just getting into these types of games, but every time after that has been enjoyable. You have to be comfortable with a certain level of grittiness, and the story can go into some dark territory, but I think that is part of the appeal.

Loving Prisma at the moment. I’ve applied filters to our Monsterhearts class portraits, which make them really pop.

It’s a fascinating game. Not one I want to repeat for a while but definitely an interesting experience. The Swamp Ghosts only really became effective when there were two who would each target the surviving characters. Then it came down to me and a principled man who I had to murder before we reached civilisation.
