I got some Lulu goodies in the mail: A Market in the Woods by Johnstone Metzger, Metal Showcase 11PM by Jason Morningstar, and Yoon-Suin by David McGrogan.
I think the Yoon-Suin cover art has to be in my Top 5. It’s really beautiful in person!

Yoon-Suin is such a pleasure to read. Layout is amazing and content is A+ super super pleased with it. White hack + Yoon-Suin would be something I’d love to play one day.

I’m doing it in World of Dungeons, which I think will work nicely.

Yoon-Suin is close to perfect in the way it helps a DM translate its game setting to one’s specific table. I’d love to see Planescape done in the same style. And its what Sword Coast from WotC should have been.

I have not seen Metal Showcase 11PM. What is that one all about?

I’m really looking forward to getting my hands on Yoon-Suin asap, along with a couple other things. I had a chance to look at Market in the Woods and most of the monsters didn’t grab me. And I have access to a PDF of it, so… I want to get the Name Project book by Jason Morningstar, and there was something else, but I can’t remember what it was. I have it written down somewhere.

Jeremy Strandberg That’s a great excuse for another Lulu order. 😉

Victor Wyatt It’s kind of a like a Choose Your Own Adventure. Jason talked about it on this episode of the Gauntlet Podcast (sorry, no time code handy): http://gauntletpodcast.libsyn.com/episode-33-jason-morningstar

I think that was just prior to me finding The Gauntlet. I must go back and add it to the GenCon travel queue. Cool.

Have you read a market in the woods yet?

Jason Cordova On the trip to GenCon I listened to that episode. All through I kept thinking I had heard it before but that though was cemented when I heard about your furniture shopping in Giving Me Life. My nephew looked at me funny when I burst out, “I have heard this one before!” lol

I got my copy of Yoon-Suin last week. I’m totally excited to read it. I may use it in my upcoming campaign, but I was already thinking in another direction so changing roads may be a bit difficult.

Using Yoon-Suin is a snap. The easy with which to generate a world is amazing. I once rolled up a city where no one could speak in public so started all the characters off with “thieves cant” as a language.
