It’s the latest Pocket-Sized Play episode, the Gauntlet’s premiere all-AP powerhouse, and we play Magpie Games’s Urban Shadows by Andrew Medeiros & Mark Diaz Truman set in gentrifying Portland, OR!
Big thanks to special guest Saffire Rainbo, and as always to Timothy Bennett and Tor Droplets. What’d you all think of the episode? Let us know in the comments below!

I particularly enjoyed Tim B and Saffire Rainbo’s humorous criticism of Portland and cultural appropriation. Also, I’m a well-known fan of careful characterization, and Timothy Bennett’s was excellent.

Ok, we’re under review on Google Play. Should be available in a day or two.

Haven’t listened to episode yet, however in the early 90’s worked at a bar called the Gypsy in Portland. So now I’m veeeery curious how it features in play.

Btw Jason Cordova, I can’t express how happy I am that “weird toilet fairy stuff” made it in to the time codes. We’re on the same wavelength there, man.

Tim B I was also quite happy with “Plastic succulents” as neatly summarizing that bit of fiction.

I was also proud that “Old Man Strong” made it into the time codes as well Jason Cordova. Speaking of the character Asa Sarkin, his dialogue was PG-13’d a bit for this episode and we’ve talked internally about making cutting room floor bits available for Gauntlet Patreon supporters.

Timothy Bennett Bonus podcast content is something we should definitely discuss for the Patreon. I have a doc I’m going to circulate among all of us later that outlines my thoughts on the Patreon.

If anyone wants a mix tape of Timothy Bennett’s character saying inappropriate, problematic things, I’d just send that along no cost. XD

Saffire Rainbo couldn’t have just stopped at middle class hipsters huh? That’s a shame.

steven swezey I think Saffire Rainbo’s comment was in the context of the character she’s playing in that episode.
