Gong through your back episodes. In Gauntlet podcast 21, Jason said that purging his life of “stuff”, specifically games, was giving him life.
I need to do that soon myself. Thanks for the nudge/inspiration.

But only board games, haha. I would never part with RPG books.

I sold off shelves of RPGs when I got into photography. I let go of everything that wasn’t either
1) something I had very fond memories of.
2) unplayed stuff I could actually see myself enjoying at the table.
There’s still more stuff left than I could even imagine playing before I die. Even if I move into one of those legendary retirement home/gaming clubs when the time comes. 🙂

Wilhelm Person I had a ten-year gap when I wasn’t playing RPGs, so I never built up a huge collection. In fact, ever since I came back to RPGs (around 2011), I have only managed to accumulate 1.5 shelves of books.

I was on the verge of leaving the hobby, but the (then rising) indie wave breathed new life into the hobby for me, so I never really stopped. Sessions are few and far between these days though.

It’s not my RPGs that need culling so much as my Vampire/Jyhad cards and my Comic Books. And novels.
RPGs I’ve got a ton from when I first got into RPgs, AD&d and Traveller mostly, then a bunch from the 90s when I started again, then a bunch from when I started a 3rd time with release of 4th ed. The third time is when I started to hear about indy games from podcasts.
Like Wilhelm Person , I don’t buy new games anymore unless I truly expect to play. I’ve skipped a bunch of intriguing KickStarters because of that.

Yes. I, too, have skipped so many Kickstarters that seemed interesting. But my shelves don’t need more filler. I will buy at whatever premium necessary when I actually have a game lined up.
