It’s kind of hard to imagine, but Gauntlet Hangouts hasn’t existed even a whole year yet (it launched in mid-July 2015). It’s still a little baby in the grand scheme of things, but man, this little baby has a great future ahead of it. Some facts…
-In the 10.5 months it has been around, we have organized 224 games or events under the Gauntlet Hangouts banner (!!!)
-Of those 224 events, only 7 didn’t make or were canceled.
-We currently have 7 ‘marquee’ game nights/events, including Story Game Sunday, Dungeon World Wednesday, Saturday Morning Cartoons, Gauntlet City Limits, Gauntlet UK Presents, Super Friends!, and Playtest. There are two retired events, OSR Tuesday and TGI Thursday (though either could make a comeback in the future).
-Our two most popular game events, Saturday Morning Cartoons and Dungeon World Wednesday, will each be getting a second slot in the coming months.
The Gauntlet is about playing games. In a hobby so utterly obsessed with ‘game designer’ status, I’m happy we have carved out a little space for people who are passionate about play.

I have to agree. It’s Gauntlet’s incredible energy and enthusiasm for the hobby that gives us all a bit of hope, encouragement and a kick up the arse to get out there and play. The Gauntlet UK has found some great players as a result so thanks Jason Cordova and Co. Here’s to more games! 🍻
