So I’ve been on a kick of making Compendium Classes lately (since I think there are enough regular classes to cover most ideas). I have one pseudo-completed (Demon Hunter) and I’m working on another (The Chosen). My question is, if I keep going, how many do you think would be ideal for a Compendium Collection and what would a price point look like if I decide to put them on DriveThruRPG or something? Also if anyone wants to throw out ideas for a CC I might try to make them if I have some good ideas for them.

Hmm that’s a tough question. What is your time worth?
Do you have other work to show your quality of work?
You are looking at around $1 for a hand full of CC, but in all honesty this community does so much at no cost to others that you would be hard pressed to make much money

I create The Eight of Wands for The Black Hack on RPGNow to cover 8 5e classes. I chose $1.00 which I think is better than “Pay What You Want”.
I’d look your “competition” and price accordingly, but don’t undervalue your work. I bet its at least worth 1 coffee from Starbucks.
Remember RPGNow/DriveThru takes $0.35 per $1.00.

I would happily pay for about ten of them.

I was thinking themed sets. Like Demon Hunter and The Chosen would go with some other “Otherworldly Powers” themed CCs that get their abilities through deities/demons/etc. It would honestly depend on how many I end up with and if I have enough to put into themes. I am a graphic designer so I will make them look a bit fancier.

Looking up old legitimate fairy info might lead to some interesting ideas. Then you could have a seelie group and an unseelie group.

Hmm…that’s a tough one. I make almost all the CC’s I use in my game, because they are usually really closely tied to something that just happened in our fiction. That said, consider the following: Class Warfare, a very high-quality 500-page book which is basically nothing but CCs goes for $28 physical plus PDF. Now, I happen to think most of them are a little bland, but the book is nonetheless a pretty great value. If you did 10 really sharp, imaginative CCs, plus a little bit of art to go with them (say, 2 or 3 pieces), I would play $1 for that.

Yeah mine are all coming from the game I run too Jason Cordova (except Demon Hunter, but I’m planning ahead with that one). I think the more options people have though the better. I know I look at CCs and sometimes get ideas for things to put into games because of the requirements they have to unlock them.
