While I’m not going to Dreamation, I am friends with someone who is. Let me make some introductions so that you will know each other once you get there.
Kristin Firth used to live in Austin, and left to go to law school.
I mostly know her through playing board games, but I think we played “In a Wicked Age” once.
She was big in the local Improv scene, and has recently written her first indie RPG (although she has writing credits in published game books).
She also volunteers forGames on Demand at several big cons.
Jason is an organizer of story games and podcaster (Gauntlet and Discern Realities–a Dungeon World podcast). Until a few months ago, he was in Houston, and was organizing lots of games (maybe 10-20 a week).
He is now organizing Gauntlet Hangouts (online), and I play tested one of his first games a couple of weeks ago.
Jason doesn’t go to many conventions, but I think Kristen will know a lot of people at Dreamation. She is also playing The Forgotten, so you two may be in the same game.
BTW, Kristin needs a ride to the airport around 11:30am on Sunday.

Yep!
Yep!
Looks like I’ll be spending Sunday morning with you. 😉
Speaking of which, what is the food set up like? Expensive and crappy (as most cons of my youth) or something else? Should I plan on living off trail mix?

Shane Liebling I’m not sure. I’ve never been to Dreamation (and only Metatopia once for five minutes).
